The aim of refractive surgery is to eliminate or minimize blurred vision due to myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) and astigmatism, presbyopia, that lead to contact lenses or glasses dependence. Currently, we can use laser techniques (like Intralasik, iLasik, PRK/Lasek) or through other types of treatments, such as the implantation of an intraocular (usually ICL®) or other pseudophakic lenses, depending on each eye conditions.
